Director Raaj Shaandilyaa, known for directing ‘Dream Girl’ under Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, has addressed allegations from the production house. Balaji Telefilms claimed Shaandilyaa breached a 3-film contract by directing ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’. In response, Shaandilyaa stated he terminated his contract legally and dismissed the allegations as “exaggerated and baseless”.
He clarified that he followed contractual procedures in terminating his association with Balaji Telefilms. Shaandilyaa highlighted that despite over two weeks since the termination notice, no legal challenge has been initiated by the production house. He described the criminal allegations as unfounded attempts to intimidate and asserted his confidence in his legal stance.
Shaandilyaa assured that ‘Bhagam Bhag 2’ is progressing as planned despite the situation. He criticized the pressure tactics employed and urged industry professionals to take note of such practices. The original ‘Bhagam Bhag’ was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Lara Dutta, gaining acclaim for its comedy and box office success.
