Director Suresh Triveni shared insights into his upcoming film “Maa Behen,” explaining that character names like Rekha, Jaya, and Sushma were chosen due to their seamless fit into the storyline. These names, portrayed by Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, and Dharna Durga, respectively, naturally evolved during the writing process, reflecting elements of popular culture. Triveni highlighted that the decision to retain these names was based on their organic connection to the narrative.

The filmmaker, known for projects like “Tumhari Sulu” and “Jalsa,” mentioned that the characters initially had different names but were later altered to align with popular cultural references. Triveni emphasized the beauty of how these names resonated with the story, leading to the decision to keep them unchanged. Additionally, he noted that the familiarity of these names could enhance audience engagement with the film.

“Maa Behen,” a chaotic crime-comedy, is set to premiere on Netflix on June 4, featuring a talented cast including Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Dharna Durgaa, and Ravi Kishan. The storyline revolves around Rekha, a mother facing unexpected challenges when a dead body appears in her kitchen, testing her and her daughters, Jaya and Sushma, in a series of fast-paced and comedic events.

Triveni expressed his interest in collaborating with actors Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit for a comedy project, highlighting their chemistry as a potential on-screen duo. He hinted at the possibility of working with them in the future, aiming to explore their comedic talents together.
