Disha Jha, daughter of renowned filmmaker Prakash Jha, reminisced about the impactful presence her father exuded on a movie set. She vividly recalled witnessing his authority while managing a massive crew of 10,000 individuals during the filming of the political drama ‘Raajneeti’. Disha’s introduction to the film industry began as a costume assistant on ‘Raajneeti’, a project directed by her father.
Reflecting on her experience working on ‘Raajneeti’, Disha shared, “In ‘Raajneeti’, I was a costume assistant, so not prominently featured. It was my first film, and everything was new to me on set. Witnessing my father’s command was a revelation since I was in school during the making of ‘Gangaajal’.” She described the scene where her father effortlessly commanded the attention of the vast crew, emphasizing their respect and obedience to his instructions.
Growing up under her father’s guidance, Disha acknowledged the invaluable support and mentorship she has received. She expressed confidence in her journey, attributing her sense of security to her father’s wealth of experience and clear vision in the realm of cinema. Disha highlighted the reassurance she feels knowing that her father is a constant source of support, enabling her to navigate the challenges of the industry with greater ease.
