The India U17 women’s team has been placed in Group E of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers alongside Malaysia, Syria, and Iraq. In the previous edition, the Indian women’s U-17 team achieved a historic quarter-final berth at the 2026 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup in China. They are now aiming to secure a spot in the upcoming tournament.
Malaysia is set to host Group E of the Qualifiers from October 5 to 11, 2026. India will kick off their campaign against Iraq, followed by matches against Syria and Malaysia. The group winners will earn a ticket to the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027, scheduled to take place in Suzhou from March 31 to April 17, 2027.
The draw involved 30 teams divided into pots based on a points system from previous tournament rankings. India, seeded in Pot 1, will compete in a single round-robin centralised league format during the Qualifiers from October 5 to 11, 2026. The eight group winners will progress to the Finals in China PR, joining the top four finishers from the 2026 campaign.
The top four teams from the Finals will qualify for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2027, marking a significant opportunity for the participants of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2027.
