Without the luxury of an operation theatre or medical equipment, the doctors, aided by local residents and police, utilized mobile phone lights to perform the life-saving intervention at the accident scene, effectively turning the road into an impromptu operation theatre.
The incident, shared by Leader of the Opposition V.D. The medical team behind this extraordinary rescue included Dr. Thomas Peter, Dr. Didia Thomas of Ernakulam, and Dr. B. Manoop from Kottayam Medical College. Encountering a road accident while en route to church, the doctors, along with Dr. Manoop coincidentally present at the scene, swiftly assessed the critical condition of the victims and decided to intervene immediately to prevent further casualties.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the doctors managed to stabilize the severely injured victim within a mere four minutes, showcasing their exceptional professionalism and quick decision-making. With the timely assistance of local residents and the police, the victim was successfully stabilized, paving the way for subsequent medical treatment and care.
