Double Crowns Clinched at G D Birla Memorial Masters Badminton Tournament

Mangrish Palekar, Manoj Nachanekar, and Naheed Divecha secured double victories in the G D Birla Memorial Masters Inter-Club badminton Tournament held at Bombay Gymkhana. Nachanekar triumphed in a tough professional singles match against Rahul Bhuvad, claiming the title in three games. He then teamed up with Bhuvad to clinch the professional doubles title after a comeback win.

Palekar, in partnership with Vikrant, dominated the 45 men’s doubles, defeating their opponents comfortably. Additionally, Palekar, alongside Deepak Jaitley, secured the 85+ men’s doubles title with a convincing victory. Naheed Divecha also shone, winning the 75+ women’s doubles and the UNI doubles titles with different partners.

In the team championships, P J Hindu emerged victorious in the Elite Division by defeating Goregaon Sports Club, while Vanita Samaj Tigers claimed the Plate by overcoming WCG Team White.
