The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Bengaluru Zonal Office, has frozen Proceeds of Crime (PoC) totaling around Rs 192 crore held by ZO Games Pvt Ltd, an Indian subsidiary of WinZo Pvt Ltd, in connection with an online real money gaming scam. The ED conducted a search operation at the accounting firm’s office for Winzo Pvt Limited under the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act on December 30, 2025.

During the search, the ED seized PoC held by ZO Games Pvt Ltd, amounting to approximately Rs 192 crore, in the form of bank balances, FDRs, and mutual funds. Earlier, the ED had carried out Search and Seizure operations at the premises of Winzo Pvt Ltd and its Director on November 18, 2025. The investigation revealed that the company engaged in criminal activities, including making customers play with BOTs/AI/Algorithms in real money games without their knowledge.

Winzo Pvt Ltd generated PoC through ‘Rake Commission’ from matches played by BOTs with real players on their app, totaling Rs 802 crore. A portion of the PoC was transferred overseas to the USA and Singapore as investments. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
