Eight passengers sustained injuries when a Rajasthan Roadways bus crashed into a stationary sleeper coach on the Agra-Jaipur National Highway near Kadam Kunj Hotel in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the Chiksana police station area. The injured individuals were promptly taken to the Raj Bahadur Memorial (RBM) Hospital for medical attention.
The sleeper coach, which was en route from Bharatpur to Agra, had halted due to a technical issue near Kadam Kunj Hotel. While waiting for assistance, the bus was hit from behind by the Roadways bus. As a result of the collision, the sleeper coach ended up on the road divider, and the windows of the Roadways bus were damaged. Approximately 40 passengers were on board the Roadways bus, with about eight of them sustaining injuries.
Following the accident, the injured passengers were transferred to RBM Hospital, and a crane was utilized to clear the highway of the two vehicles. Traffic Circle Officer Narendra Kumar mentioned that the collision caused a traffic congestion on the Jaipur-Agra route, which was resolved within half an hour after the damaged buses were removed. Passengers expressed frustration over the delayed ambulance services post-accident.
The driver and conductor of the Roadways bus reportedly left the scene after the collision. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
