Ektaa Kapoor’s production studio has refuted claims of unpaid dues leveled against them. Balaji Telefilms Limited, associated with Ektaa Kapoor, dismissed the allegations, stating that they have settled all financial obligations related to the film ‘Bhooth Bangla’. The studio clarified that there are no outstanding payments amounting to approximately Rs 30 lakh, as alleged by some vendors.
The controversy arose after reports surfaced accusing the makers of ‘Bhooth Bangla’, produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, of non-payment to vendors. Balaji Telefilms Limited released an official statement addressing the issue, emphasizing that all contractual payments for the film have been honored without any pending dues. The company affirmed its commitment to upholding contractual agreements and maintaining high standards of corporate ethics.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and others, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ hit the screens last month. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with Cape of Good Films, the movie, directed by Priyadarshan, marked a reunion between Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar. The production was led by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R Kapoor.
