Elaborate security and traffic arrangements have been implemented in Coimbatore for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. The PM is set to address a public rally in the city as part of the NDA’s election campaign. Senior BJP leaders and alliance representatives will also participate in the event.
Stringent traffic diversions have been put in place from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. on key roads, especially along Avinashi Road. Heavy vehicles and buses from certain areas have been directed to take alternative routes to manage the expected crowds and ensure security.
To facilitate the smooth flow of traffic, specific routes have been designated for different types of vehicles entering and leaving the city. The Coimbatore International Airport will also observe strict restrictions on vehicle entry during the PM’s visit, affecting passenger drop-offs and airport access.
Passengers with flights scheduled during the restricted hours are advised to reach the airport well in advance. Cooperation from residents has been requested to ensure the visit’s security and traffic management are successful.
