An elderly woman passed away after collapsing during the ‘Kalash Yatra’ at the inauguration of the Navagraha Shakti Peeth temple in Dabra town, Gwalior district, Madhya Pradesh. The procession, which signifies the start of the temple’s consecration rituals, commenced from the stadium grounds towards the temple. Officials reported that the woman, part of the procession, suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness.
Senior BJP leader Narottam Mishra, a trustee of the temple, led the yatra where the incident occurred. Mishra’s communication in-charge, Brijesh Dwivedi, mentioned that over 20,000 women were involved in the Kalash Yatra, and an elderly woman collapsed during the procession, leading to her unfortunate demise. Security measures have been tightened by the district administration for the 10-day religious event.
The consecration ceremony is expected to witness the participation of various religious and spiritual figures, including Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, Pradeep Mishra, poet Kumar Vishwas, Danti Maharaj, and saints from different places. Saint Badrish Ji Maharaj and his disciples are set to conduct rituals, with Danti Maharaj performing special rites throughout the 10-day event.
