The Election Commission of India has unveiled the final electoral roll for Chhattisgarh, revealing a total of 1,87,30,914 registered voters in the state, including 2,34,994 new additions. This publication follows the completion of a four-month-long Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise conducted across Chhattisgarh, involving a meticulous verification process of all voters listed in the previous roll.
After the extensive SIR initiative, the electoral roll was officially published on February 21, 2026, with a total of 1,87,30,914 registered voters as per an official press note from the ECI. The SIR drive, which began on October 27, 2025, involved 27,196 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conducting door-to-door visits for enumeration form distribution and voter record verification.
Claims and objections regarding name inclusion, deletion, and correction were accepted between December 23, 2025, and January 22, 2026. The disposal of these claims and objections was finalized by February 14, 2026, as per the ECI’s press release.
The latest electoral rolls, inclusive of voter photographs from the SIR exercise, have been released to ensure precision and transparency. Notably, Surguja district has 6,02,310 voters, Bilaspur district has 13,41,254 voters, Raigarh district has 8,42,695 voters, Rajnandgaon district has 7,92,482 voters, Durg district has 11,35,061 voters, and Raipur district has 13,93,967 voters.
