The Election Commission of India will release the final voters’ list in West Bengal on Saturday. To ensure transparency, soft copies of the list will be shared with registered political parties in the state. The list will include categories such as “under adjudication” and “deleted,” besides genuine voters.
Voters in West Bengal have various options to check their status in the final list. They can visit the Election Commission of India’s website or the West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer’s official site. Additionally, they can check with district electoral officers’ websites or contact booth-level officers for offline verification.
In addition to online methods, hard copies of the final voters’ list will be displayed at polling booths across different areas. The list will categorize voters as “under adjudication,” “deleted,” or genuine voters. Those under adjudication are individuals whose identity documents are still being verified by judicial officers.
The final voters’ list will also include names of voters excluded during the Special Intensive Revision exercise. These excluded voters will be listed under the “deleted” category. Supplementary lists will be published later, including names cleared after adjudication.
