England’s football team faces a setback as full-back Tino Livramento will miss the FIFA World Cup 2026 due to an injury. Livramento, 23, sustained the injury during a training session before the team’s opening match against Croatia. Trevoh Chalobah has been named as Livramento’s replacement for the tournament.
Arrangements are being made for Chalobah to join the team in Kansas City while the rest of the squad prepares for their match in Dallas, Texas. Livramento, who plays on either flank of the defense, was ruled out after a calf injury diagnosis following a training session. Despite his versatility, he was lacking match fitness after missing the final two months of the club season due to a thigh injury.
England, led by Harry Kane, aims to break their major football title drought at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Their last victory was in 1966, with semi-final appearances in 1990 and 2018. The team’s updated squad for the tournament includes players like Jordan Pickford, Harry Kane, and Marcus Rashford.
