Over 850 ex-servicemen and 42 national and multinational companies collaborated at a job fair hosted by the Defence Ministry in New Delhi. The event aimed to explore 1,290 job opportunities spanning various sectors. The Directorate General Resettlement, part of the Ministry of Defence, orchestrated the Ex-Servicemen Job Fair at Aravali Auditorium, Shankar Vihar Military Station.

Rear Admiral R.K. Singh and Cmde Vikrant Kishore inaugurated the job fair, engaging with veterans and corporate representatives. This interaction provided valuable insights into emerging job prospects and industry demands. Notable attendees included Cmde Sumeet Kapoor, Brig Eshan Dalal, Brig DIAV, and Naveen Patwardhan from CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd.

Key recruiters like Schneider Electric, GA Digital Web Word Pvt Ltd, and KCC Institute of Technology & Management participated in the fair. The platform allowed ex-servicemen to exhibit their skills while offering the industry access to a proficient talent pool. The event underscored the DGR’s dedication to facilitating meaningful career transitions for veterans.

The Defence Ministry had previously organized a similar job fair in Chandigarh on March 17. These initiatives aim to connect ex-servicemen from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force with potential employers in sectors such as security, IT, healthcare, and engineering. The DGR plans to conduct a total of 18 job fairs for ex-servicemen across India in the fiscal year 2025-26.
