Qatari authorities confirmed the unfortunate demise of 12 Indian nationals in the Ras Laffan incident, with the Indian Embassy expressing deepest condolences to the bereaved families and ensuring that the injured are receiving necessary medical care. Efforts are underway to facilitate the repatriation of deceased Indian nationals to India promptly.
According to the Qatari Ministry of Interior, the incident at Ras Laffan Industrial City resulted in 13 fatalities and 66 injuries due to a technical malfunction during factory operations. Authorities are diligently investigating the incident to determine its technical causes and ensure appropriate measures are taken in compliance with legal and technical protocols.
