A devastating road accident in Maharashtra’s Amravati claimed the lives of five family members when a speeding car collided with a stationary container. The incident occurred around noon, resulting in the immediate death of all occupants in the severely damaged vehicle.
The victims, comprising two men, two women, and a young girl, were all part of the same family from Chandrapur district. Reports suggest that the fatal crash took place on the Samruddhi Mahamarg in the Dhamangaon Railway tehsil of Amravati.
Authorities mentioned that the family, traveling from Nagpur to Mumbai, met with the tragic accident when their car crashed into a truck. Emergency response teams, including police and rescue squads, quickly arrived at the scene to manage the situation and transport the bodies to the hospital.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the car, traveling at high speed, collided with the rear of the stationary container truck, resulting in a catastrophic impact that left no chance for the passengers to survive. Despite efforts to rescue those trapped inside, all five individuals were pronounced dead at Dhamangaon Rural Hospital.
The tragic incident on the Samruddhi Mahamarg has left the region in mourning, prompting a police investigation into the accident’s cause. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Sudhir Gadgil narrowly escaped a mishap with minor injuries in a separate road accident in the Sangli constituency.
