Three members of a family were discovered deceased at their residence in Surat’s Lalgate area. The deceased individuals were identified as Faiz Ahmed Yusuf (36), his wife Mubina Ahmed (32), and their son Noman Ahmed (13). The cause of death is pending confirmation following post-mortem examinations and forensic analysis.
The tragic incident occurred at their home in Sauya Sheri of the Haripura area. Authorities found the family members unconscious in separate rooms with no visible external injuries. Foam was observed around their mouths, and the house was locked from the inside, suggesting no external intrusion.
Police have ruled out food poisoning as the cause of death due to the absence of typical physical symptoms. Investigations are ongoing, with blood samples and other evidence collected for forensic scrutiny. The family, reportedly financially stable, had no known disputes, according to relatives.
Family members mentioned that the deceased had recently returned from a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. Faiz and his brothers were engaged in the chemical business in Surat’s Pandesara area. No suicide note or poisonous substances have been found at the scene. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination at Surat Civil Hospital.
