A large number of farmers in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district expressed their happiness and gratitude towards the Central government for the support received under the farmers’ welfare scheme. Over 95,000 farmers in the district received a total of ₹19.13 crores under the PM KISAN Nidhi scheme.
The 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, amounting to Rs 18,880 crore, was recently released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 20. This initiative has benefited more than 9.44 crore farmers nationwide, with the funds being directly credited to their accounts.
Farmers and farm laborers who received the financial assistance expressed relief and joy, especially as they are currently preparing for paddy cultivation. The money received will be utilized to pay laborers, purchase seeds, fertilizers, and other essential farming requirements.
Acknowledging the scheme as farmer-friendly, beneficiaries praised PM Modi for his understanding of their challenges and providing timely assistance. They highlighted the significant impact of the scheme on their economic well-being and the continuity of their agricultural activities.
