FC Barcelona Defeats Elche 3-1 to Maintain La Liga Lead

FC Barcelona secured a 3-1 victory over Elche, ensuring their position at the top of La Liga. Lamine Yamal scored early for Barcelona, who hit the woodwork three times before Alvaro Rodriguez equalized for Elche. Ferran Torres, after hitting the woodwork twice, regained the lead for Barcelona, with Marcus Rashford scoring the third goal.

Real Madrid, currently in second place, will face Rayo Vallecano, trailing Barcelona by four points with 55 points. Atletico Madrid drew 0-0 against Levante, with Alexander Sorloth taken to the hospital after a head clash. Villarreal drew 2-2 with Osasuna, with Gerard Moreno scoring a penalty and a header.

Oviedo clinched a 1-0 victory over Girona with Ilyas Chaira’s 73rd-minute goal, ending a winless streak. Alaves defeated Espanyol 2-1, moving into mid-table and extending Espanyol’s poor form. Barcelona leads the table with 55 points, followed by Real Madrid with 51 points, Atletico Madrid with 43 points, and Villarreal with 42 points.
