Filmmaker Zack Snyder recently reminisced about the day he first encountered Henry Cavill as Superman, marking 15 years since the memorable moment. Snyder shared the very first picture he took of Cavill on Instagram, just before the actor assumed his iconic role. In a caption accompanying the photo, Snyder reflected on the day he captured the image, calling it the inception of Cavill’s legendary journey into the superhero role.
Snyder’s filmmaking career began in 2004 with his debut feature, Dawn of the Dead, a remake of the 1978 horror classic. Over the years, he has been involved in directing and producing various comic book and superhero films, such as 300, Watchmen, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League. Additionally, Snyder has ventured into animated films with projects like Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Sucker Punch, and Army of the Dead.
In 2011, Henry Cavill was announced as the actor to portray Clark Kent/Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Cavill’s acting career began on television in 2002 with The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, followed by his role as Charles Brandon in The Tudors.
