Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with UAE’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem Al Hashimy, in Abu Dhabi to review the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Both sides identified areas for further cooperation and discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest, as per the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently condemned the attack on Fujairah in the UAE, which injured three Indian nationals. He emphasized the unacceptability of targeting civilians and infrastructure. PM Modi expressed India’s solidarity with the UAE and reiterated support for resolving issues peacefully through dialogue and diplomacy.
In response to the attacks in Fujairah, where three Indian nationals were injured, PM Modi posted a statement on X, holding Iran responsible for the incidents. The Indian Embassy in the UAE assured that they are coordinating with local authorities to ensure proper medical care and welfare for the affected Indian nationals.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced what they termed as “renewed unprovoked Iranian aggression” involving missiles and drones. The Ministry confirmed that three Indian nationals were injured due to Iran’s attack on civilian sites and facilities. They described Iran’s actions as a direct threat to the UAE’s security, stability, and territorial integrity, violating international law and the UN Charter.
