Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee expressed his emotions as he remembered the late legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who passed away at 92. In 2007, Lee and Bhosle collaborated on the song “You’re the One for Me,” which gained immense popularity among fans of both cricket and music.

Lee, in a heartfelt social media post, recalled the experience of working with Bhosle, praising not only her exceptional talent but also her kindness and humility. He shared his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with such a special person, emphasizing that Bhosle’s legacy will endure for generations to come.

In his autobiography, Lee detailed the making of the music video for their song, which was filmed during his visit to India for the 2006 Champions Trophy. He also mentioned how he wrote the lyrics for the track in just 30 minutes, showcasing a different creative side through this unique musical endeavor.

Reflecting on his time with Bhosle, Lee described her as a gentlewoman with a great sense of humor, highlighting the privilege of working with a music icon like her. Bhosle’s recent passing marks a significant loss in the realm of Indian music, ending an era cherished by many.
