Former Health Minister Raghu Sharma criticized the Rajasthan government for stalling crucial health projects and neglecting the state’s healthcare infrastructure. He highlighted incomplete initiatives from the previous Congress regime, leading to inadequate medical facilities across Rajasthan. Sharma expressed concerns about the helium supply slowdown, essential for MRI scans, urging the government to disclose contingency plans amidst global tensions.

He questioned the current BJP government’s efforts in expanding medical seats and super-speciality facilities compared to the Congress regime. Sharma emphasized the need for sufficient medical staff as per National Medical Commission guidelines and urged the government to address shortages effectively. He also raised issues of financial stress within RGHS and irregularities in claim processing, calling for immediate investigation and stricter regulations.

Sharma warned of potential disruptions in essential services if corrective measures are not promptly implemented. He contrasted the previous Congress government’s healthcare achievements, such as free medicines and diagnostics, with the current government’s alleged failure to prioritize public health. Sharma criticized the BJP government for not upholding the vision of a “Nirogi Rajasthan” and failing to implement crucial healthcare laws.
