Former Indian cricketer and national selector Jatin Paranjape believes that Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya will play crucial roles in India’s Super Eights campaign in the Men’s T20 World Cup. Bumrah has taken four wickets with an economy rate of six, while Hardik has scored 87 runs and taken five wickets.
Paranjape emphasized the importance of Hardik Pandya to the Indian team, stating that his improvement over the past year has been remarkable. Hardik’s all-round performance has been instrumental in India’s success, according to Paranjape.
Hardik’s familiarity with the conditions in Ahmedabad due to his IPL experience with the Gujarat Titans is seen as an advantage. He has a good track record in Ahmedabad, having scored 470 runs in 19 T20I innings at a strike-rate of 142.
With India struggling against off-spin, Hardik is expected to play a key role in addressing this weakness. Alongside Bumrah, Hardik has contributed to India having the best economy rate and the second-best bowling average in the competition.
Paranjape highlighted the importance of both Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah in India’s quest for World Cup success. He expressed confidence in India’s strong team setup heading into the Super Eights.
