Four male students achieved All India Rank 1 in the JEE Main 2026 national-level engineering entrance exam, with 26 candidates scoring a perfect 100 percentile. Kabeer Chhillar, Pasala Mohith, Chandra Sekhar, and Aditya Gupta secured the top spot, each scoring 300 out of 300. Notably, Mallavarapu Aasna from Telangana stood out as the highest-performing female student among the top scorers.
A total of 16,04,854 candidates registered for the exam, with 15,38,474 candidates actually appearing for it across both sessions. The exam was conducted in two sessions, one in January and the other in April. Session 1 in January witnessed 13,55,293 registrations and 13,04,653 attendees, while session 2 in April had 11,10,904 registrations and 10,34,330 attendees.
Candidates who fall within the top 2.5 lakh ranks will qualify to take the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. For General Category candidates, a minimum of 93.41 percentile is required to be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam scheduled for May 17. The final answer key for Session 2 of the JEE Main 2026 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), following challenges against the provisional answer key.
The JEE Main 2026 result is prepared based on the final answer key available on the NTA website. The exam conducting body has also declared the JEE Main Session 2 result on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main serves as a screening test for candidates aiming to qualify for the JEE Advanced, which is the gateway to admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
