The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has raised concerns about the title of the upcoming streaming movie ‘Ghooskhor Pandat’. The FWICE, representing various industry workers, technicians, and artists, has expressed strong disapproval of the title, citing its potential to offend and create discord within communities. They have urged OTT platforms to address this issue promptly.
The film features Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role and is produced by Neeraj Pandey under Friday Filmworks. FWICE emphasized the importance of unity and respect across all professions, denouncing titles that could incite hatred or disrespect. They have called for responsible content creation to maintain social harmony and unity in society.
In response to the backlash on social media and a petition filed in the Delhi High Court, FWICE has warned of consequences for non-compliance with their request. The body has urged the production house to withdraw the title immediately to uphold social harmony and prevent further unrest. FWICE’s stance underscores the need for sensitivity and inclusivity in the entertainment industry.
