Following the tragic fire incident at a coaching institute in Lucknow that claimed several lives, the Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration has intensified inspections of coaching institutes and businesses to ensure compliance with safety regulations. During the inspections, a coaching institute in Noida’s Sector-104 named ‘Om coaching centre’ was found operating without the necessary permissions and documents, leading to its immediate closure. The institute lacked proper registration and did not have the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Fire Safety Department.

A joint operation conducted by officials, including the District Inspector of Schools, City Magistrate, and Fire Department, revealed multiple violations at the coaching centre, prompting its immediate sealing. The authorities emphasized the importance of educational institutions and coaching centers adhering to safety standards and regulations to ensure the well-being of students. Inspections of various establishments in the district will continue, with strict actions planned against those found violating safety protocols.

In the recent Lucknow fire tragedy, 14 individuals lost their lives in a blaze at a commercial building housing a coaching center in the Aliganj area. Following the incident, four individuals were arrested in connection with the fire, while four administrative officials faced suspension due to accountability issues.
