CEOs of leading global tech firms gathered at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, highlighting the importance of autonomy, infrastructure, and mass empowerment in the AI sector. Keynote speakers like Arthur Mensch of Mistral AI, Jeet Adani from Adani Digital Labs, Rajesh Subramaniam of FedEx, and Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures discussed how AI is reshaping sovereignty, global commerce, and access to essential services. They emphasized the need for openness, ownership, and societal impact in AI development.

Arthur Mensch stressed the significance of AI autonomy and open innovation, advocating for empowerment rather than dominance. He emphasized the necessity for countries and regions to control their AI destiny to maintain digital autonomy. Jeet Adani focused on national capability and strategic sovereignty, highlighting energy, compute, and services sovereignty as crucial pillars for AI development.

Rajesh Subramaniam positioned AI as foundational infrastructure for the upcoming industrial era, particularly in global supply chains. He emphasized that AI is no longer just a trend but a critical part of the next industrial system. Vinod Khosla shifted the focus to practical applications of AI that can benefit the masses, promoting accessible AI services like tutors, doctors, and agronomy to ensure widespread impact.

The leaders at the summit shared a common belief that the future of AI should prioritize ownership, accessibility, and equitable deployment. They discussed the need for open-source autonomy, sovereign infrastructure, intelligent supply chains, and universal digital services to create inclusive and globally influential AI systems.
