As part of the 88th Raising Day celebrations of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the government has invited citizens to engage in various activities to honor the force’s personnel for their bravery and service to the nation. Through a citizen engagement platform, people nationwide can join competitions, quizzes, and a special Citizen’s Pledge to acknowledge the CRPF’s contributions.
The Central Reserve Police Force, founded in 1939 and known for its motto “Service and Loyalty,” is the largest Central Armed Police Force in India. It has been instrumental in upholding the country’s internal security and fulfilling diverse operational duties over the years.
Emphasizing the importance of the Raising Day, the government has urged citizens to participate in a series of competitions and quizzes to honor the CRPF’s men and women. The force, a crucial component of India’s security framework, plays a significant role in safeguarding the nation’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty.
With a wide operational presence and specialized units like the Rapid Action Force and the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action, the CRPF has actively contributed to counterterrorism efforts, law enforcement, election security, disaster response, and national integration. The government also recognized the sacrifices of CRPF personnel, highlighting the courage and commitment of those who have laid down their lives in service to the nation.
