Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, along with political leaders nationwide, sent birthday greetings to President Droupadi Murmu on her 68th birthday. Patel praised President Murmu’s journey from a humble background to India’s highest constitutional office, calling it an inspiration for millions, especially the tribal community and women. He wished her good health, a long life, and endless energy for serving the nation.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also lauded President Murmu’s public service and perseverance, highlighting her humility, resilience, and dedication to the nation. He extended wishes for her well-being, happiness, and continued service to the country. President Murmu, India’s 15th President since July 25, 2022, is the first tribal individual and the second woman to hold this prestigious position.
Before her presidency, President Murmu served as the Governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021 and held positions as a minister and legislator in Odisha. Her birthday coincided with a significant event in Odisha, where she and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were set to jointly launch development projects worth over Rs 47,600 crore, covering infrastructure and other sectors as part of a major state development initiative.
During an official visit to Madhya Pradesh, President Murmu participated in various programs, including the observance of International Sickle Cell Day, emphasizing the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission’s significance. Leaders from diverse political backgrounds extended birthday wishes to President Murmu, acknowledging her remarkable journey from an Odisha tribal village to Rashtrapati Bhavan, highlighting her role as the nation’s constitutional head.
