Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Seychelles, calling it a significant moment in bilateral relations. The visit included various high-level engagements, such as participating in National Day celebrations, holding formal talks with Seychelles’ leadership, and being honored with Seychelles’ highest award. CM Patel commended the visit for elevating the India-Seychelles partnership to new levels, emphasizing PM Modi’s leadership in sustainability and the Blue Economy.

PM Modi, in response to the trip, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes achieved for India-Seychelles relations. He highlighted the substantial progress made during the visit and expressed optimism for the future of the two countries’ relationship. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of innovation, sustainability, and shared prosperity in shaping the next phase of bilateral ties, especially as Seychelles celebrated its 50 years of independence.

During the visit, PM Modi was honored with the title “Guardian of the Blue Horizon” by Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie for his contributions to climate action, ocean governance, and sustainable development.
