Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi undertook a 3.5 km walk from Girnar Darwaza to Bhavnath Temple to inaugurate the Mahashivratri fair in Junagadh. The event attracted a large number of devotees, creating a spiritual ambiance along the entire route. Sanghavi was greeted with flowers and traditional gestures by citizens and organizations during his pilgrimage walk.
Sanghavi expressed gratitude for the experience, calling it a significant blessing to walk through Girnar on Mahashivratri. At Bhavnath Temple, he participated in rituals and the Maha Aarti with other saints. Sanghavi highlighted the growing popularity of the fair, expecting an increase in devotees each year.
The fair, spanning from Girnar Darwaza to Bhavnath Temple, has seen a rise in devotees over the years. Sanghavi, pleased with the arrangements and turnout, stressed the fair’s spiritual importance and the sanctity of Girnar. He urged devotees to maintain cleanliness in the area to spread a message of hygiene and purity.
