Nearly a year after the tragic Air India AI-171 crash that claimed former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani’s life, State Health Minister Praful Pansheriya praised Rupani as a highly respected public figure whose absence is deeply felt across Gujarat, especially in Rajkot and the Saurashtra region.
Rupani was one of the 260 individuals who lost their lives in the crash, which included passengers, crew members, and individuals on the ground. Pansheriya shared his shock upon learning about the crash while attending an event in Surat, emphasizing the profound impact of losing a senior BJP leader like Rupani.
Recalling his close association with Rupani, Pansheriya highlighted their collaborative work in government and the BJP organization. He described Rupani as an exemplary political leader known for his dedication to public service, personal relationships, and organizational discipline, leaving a lasting impression on the people of Rajkot and Saurashtra.
As Gujarat approaches the first anniversary of the tragedy, Pansheriya expressed the enduring pain caused by the disaster and Rupani’s demise. The upcoming anniversary will not only commemorate the aviation disaster but also honor the memory of a veteran politician whose contributions to public life are deeply cherished by the state.
