Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel declared Gujarat as the leading state in job creation during a campaign event in Aravalli district before the local self-government elections. Patel highlighted the state’s robust employment opportunities, attributing this success to consistent development strategies and infrastructure growth. He specifically mentioned a corridor project worth Rs 1,600 crore as a significant investment that would maintain the momentum of progress.
Outlining the BJP’s commitment, Patel emphasized that the party’s engagement transcends election periods, focusing on continuous interaction with the public and addressing their concerns. Contrasting this with the opposition’s post-election absence, Patel praised BJP workers for their consistent presence, especially during crises like the Covid pandemic.
Patel underscored the importance of development-oriented politics and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reshaping the electoral narrative towards progress. He highlighted how Modi’s tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister shifted the electoral discourse towards development issues, emphasizing the need for accountability to the public in today’s technological age.
Detailing the state’s advancements, Patel recalled past challenges related to water, electricity, and infrastructure, lauding PM Modi’s initiatives that ensured round-the-clock electricity and Narmada water supply, enhancing public trust. He also outlined initiatives for farmers and landholders, including the conversion of land records and measures for water conservation through campaigns like ‘Catch the Rain’ and ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
