Hanuman Beniwal, the convenor of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and Member of Parliament from Nagaur, addressed critical national and regional issues during the Lok Sabha discussion on the second batch of Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2025–26. Beniwal stressed the importance of prioritizing farmers, youth, and rural communities while allocating additional budgetary resources. He highlighted the need for increased investment in agriculture, irrigation, rural infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
MP Beniwal also expressed concerns about the shortage of domestic and commercial gas cylinders, questioning the government’s contingency plans for ensuring a steady supply of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas amid ongoing geopolitical tensions. He emphasized that Supplementary Demands for Grants should be limited to unforeseen circumstances and not become a routine practice, pointing out weaknesses in the government’s financial planning.
Furthermore, Beniwal raised issues related to civil aviation safety, particularly incidents of GPS signal interference at airports nationwide. He sought details on the number of flights affected by GPS signal tampering over the past few years and urged the government to enhance technical security measures in the aviation sector. Beniwal called for the deployment of advanced technologies and stringent security protocols to safeguard air passengers and prevent incidents like GPS spoofing.
