India’s captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, expressed confidence in the team’s ability to excel in global events following their victory in the previous Women’s ODI World Cup. The team is gearing up for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup scheduled from June 12 to July 5 in England. Before the mega event, Harmanpreet will lead India in a five-match T20I series in South Africa from April 17-27, followed by a three-game series against England.

Harmanpreet emphasized the significance of their ODI World Cup win in boosting their morale for the upcoming T20 World Cup. She highlighted the pressure of playing in a home World Cup and how it has prepared them for future challenges. The team is currently focused on rigorous preparations for the upcoming tournament, having gained valuable experience from their previous victories.

The Omaxe State Stadium in Dwarka, New Delhi, recently named a stand after Harmanpreet. This stand, exclusively for female fans and their families, is a tribute to her achievements in cricket. Harmanpreet expressed gratitude for this honor, emphasizing the emotional significance of having a stand dedicated to her name.

Harmanpreet praised the Women’s Premier League (WPL) for its role in elevating the standards of women’s cricket in India. Drawing parallels with the Indian Premier League (IPL) for men, she highlighted the positive impact of WPL on the team’s performance. She credited the WPL for transforming the team’s attitude and contributing to their success in international competitions.
