Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed the government’s goal to establish the state as a world-class knowledge economy hub. The state’s education system is undergoing significant changes based on the principles of ‘Re-design, Re-imagine, and Re-invest’, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP). These reforms are being implemented in state universities and their affiliated colleges.
Addressing an event at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) in Hisar, the Chief Minister inaugurated projects worth Rs 7.58 crore. These projects include a girls’ hostel, a Nursing Department building to enhance healthcare services and medical education, and the Khejarli Mahabalidan Smriti Shilp and Mata Amrita Devi Circle.
Furthermore, the Nursing Block will be named after Chaudhary Bhajan Lal. Chief Minister Saini highlighted the nationwide implementation of the NEP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, aiming to position India as a global knowledge superpower. Guru Jambheshwar University was commended for its effective NEP implementation and received the NEP Implementation Excellence Award 2025 (gold category) from the state government.
Emphasizing the importance of institutions like Guru Jambheshwar University, the Chief Minister stressed their role as centers of research and innovation, connecting local industries with global technologies. He urged the public to support the Prime Minister’s initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” for environmental conservation, aligning with the teachings of Mata Amrita Devi and Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj.
In line with Guru Jambheshwar Maharaj’s teachings, the Chief Minister emphasized that higher education’s purpose goes beyond granting degrees. It aims to cultivate an ethical, culturally rooted, technologically adept society committed to environmental preservation.
