Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the importance of a society’s treatment of its weak and underprivileged members over economic prosperity. Speaking at an event in Ludhiana, Punjab, he praised the Gyan Sthal Mandir Sewa Society and announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh for their work. Saini paid tribute to martyr Lala Jagat Narayan for his dedication to patriotism and service to humanity.
The Chief Minister commended the society’s long-standing efforts in assisting widowed mothers and needy individuals, spanning over 346 months. He lauded their relief efforts, including aid distribution to families affected by terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, the organization has supported people with disabilities, empowered women through skill development, and provided education to children.
Saini highlighted the Haryana Government’s welfare schemes for women’s empowerment, including financial assistance and educational initiatives. The state has established new colleges, with a focus on girls’ education, and offers free education up to the postgraduate level. Various programs aim to enhance women’s economic and social status, fostering self-reliance through education and skill development.
