Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the significance of the animal husbandry sector in India’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. He mentioned the vast opportunities in milk production, value addition, exports, and startups, aiming to modernize and ensure sustainability in animal husbandry, with a focus on animal health services reaching every village. Saini made these remarks during the 41st state-level Livestock Exhibition in Kurukshetra.

The Chief Minister visited the exhibition, viewed different animal breeds, and engaged with livestock farmers. He also witnessed a showcase of high-quality animal breeds at the event, where he recognized and awarded top-performing livestock farmers across various categories. Saini described the livestock exhibition as a representation of rural culture, livestock traditions, and the country’s commitment to self-reliant India.

During the event, Saini emphasized that animal husbandry is not just an income source but also the backbone of the rural economy. He praised Haryana’s livestock farmers for their contributions to the state’s identity through advanced breeds and scientific practices. Saini stressed that animal husbandry plays a crucial role in sectors like milk production, bio-energy, organic manure, and rural employment, leading to the development of a prosperous and empowered rural India.
