Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would come to power in Punjab in the 2027 elections under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He criticized the current Punjab government for failing to fulfill promises and causing issues like drug addiction and unemployment. Saini assured that if the BJP wins in Punjab, development similar to Haryana’s progress would be prioritized.

Saini made these remarks at a public gathering in Ghanaur, near the Haryana-Punjab border. He highlighted the BJP’s success in Haryana and expressed confidence in a similar outcome in Punjab. The Chief Minister criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for not delivering on its pledges to combat drug abuse and provide employment, contrasting it with the BJP’s achievements in Haryana.

Saini emphasized the BJP’s successful implementation of welfare schemes in Haryana, such as providing LPG cylinders at subsidized rates and higher pensions for senior citizens. He also mentioned the government’s efforts to support farmers by procuring crops at minimum support prices. Additionally, Saini highlighted initiatives in Haryana to honor Guru Teg Bahadur’s martyrdom and promote awareness of his sacrifices among the youth.

The Chief Minister took a dig at the AAP government in Punjab, alleging its failure to fulfill promises and criticizing its governance practices. He lamented the deteriorating state of Punjab under the AAP’s rule and contrasted it with the prosperous past of the region. Saini underscored the need for a change in leadership for the betterment of Punjab’s future.
