Haryana’s Advocate General’s Office, under Advocate General Pravindra Singh Chauhan’s leadership, has achieved full digitalization, making it the first state in India to conduct all legal operations digitally. The state government hails this milestone as setting a new standard not just for Haryana but for the entire nation.
The Pro-Case Management System was officially launched by the Advocate General, ushering in a new era of digital legal administration in Haryana. This digital transformation journey, spearheaded by Senior Deputy Advocate General Arun Tewatia, began six months ago with the aim of converting all manual office operations into digital processes.
The backbone of this digital ecosystem is the Pro Case Management System, an advanced tool that facilitates vetting, legal opinions, case-related correspondence, and litigation management entirely through digital platforms. This transition has not only expedited workflows but also reduced unnecessary delays, ensuring that all case-related documents are securely stored in Portable Document Format, thereby enhancing transparency and accessibility.
Senior Deputy Advocate General Tewatia highlighted the benefits of the electronic roster, which provides law officers immediate access to essential documents, and electronic judgment, which enables quick retrieval of court judgments and orders. Moreover, the electronic vetting and opinion processes have been streamlined, ensuring faster legal scrutiny and advice for government departments.
