Haryana’s Ameerah Arshad Wins Gold at National Shooting Championship

Haryana’s Ameerah Arshad showed great composure to secure the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Women final at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions in Bhopal. She narrowly beat Railways’ Rajshree Anilkumar Sancheti by just 0.1 point in a closely contested match.

In another event at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi, Zuhair Khan from Uttar Pradesh claimed the men’s trap gold at the 68th NSCC (Shotgun) with 43 hits. Ameerah finished with a score of 251.9, ahead of Sancheti who took silver with 251.8, while Chhattisgarh’s Pranju Shree Somani secured the bronze with 230.5.

Zuhair Khan emerged victorious in the men’s trap final in New Delhi, securing the gold medal with 43 hits. Shapath Bhardwaj from Uttarakhand took silver with 40 hits, and Kynan Chenai claimed bronze with 33 hits. Uttar Pradesh clinched the gold in the men’s trap team event with a total score of 345, followed by Punjab and Uttarakhand with silver and bronze, respectively.

Tilottama Sen from Karnataka shone in the 10m Air Rifle Junior Women final, winning gold with a score of 253.1. Maharashtra’s Samiksha Subhash Patil secured silver, and Haryana’s Ramita claimed bronze. In the team events, Haryana dominated the Women’s Team competition, while Karnataka and Gujarat took silver and bronze, respectively.
