Amid escalating violence against civilians in Balochistan, a Baloch youth named Umar Baloch was reportedly taken by Pakistani security forces from his home in the Mand Koh region of Kech district. The rights body Paank condemned the incident, highlighting concerns over human rights abuses in the troubled region.
According to local sources, the Pakistan Army personnel conducted the operation, taking Umar without a warrant and failing to disclose his whereabouts. Paank has demanded the immediate disclosure of Umar’s location, his unconditional release, and his presentation before a competent court of law.
The Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) criticized the increasing incidents of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, labeling them as grave violations of human rights. The BVJ urged the international community, human rights organizations, and Pakistani courts to address these incidents and ensure the release of all missing persons.
