ICC Announces Nominees for Women’s Player of the Month Award

The ICC has revealed the nominees for the Women’s Player of the Month award for January, featuring exceptional performances from the international cricket scene. The finalists include Gaby Lewis, Sobhana Mostery, and Tara Norris, who stood out during the T20 World Cup Qualifiers in January-February 2026.
Gaby Lewis, leading Ireland’s charge for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 qualification, showcased an outstanding performance. Scoring a total of 251 runs at a remarkable strike rate of 124.87 in six T20Is, Lewis played a crucial role for her team.
Sobhana Mostery from Bangladesh emerged as a dominant force with the bat in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier. With 229 runs at an average of 45.80 and a striking rate of 145.85, Mostery played a pivotal role in her team’s unbeaten run.

Tara Norris, the standout bowler for the USA during the qualification event, displayed exceptional bowling skills. Finishing as the highest wicket-taker with 15 wickets, Norris made a significant impact with her left-arm pace.
These players’ performances in January not only impressed individually but also played a vital role in advancing their teams in the global qualifiers.
