The Ice Hockey League Season 3 commenced at the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan Stadium in Leh, Ladakh, with a vibrant opening day featuring five competitive fixtures and a strong turnout of nearly 1,500 spectators. In the season opener, Sham Wolves defeated Kharu Falcons 4–1, showcasing a strong performance led by Tsewang Namgail and Dorjay Gyaltson. The second match saw Humas Warriors secure a 3–1 victory over Purig Warriors, with Waseem Bilal and Gulam Nabi playing key roles in their win.
Following the matches, the League was officially inaugurated with a dynamic opening ceremony that included a glimpse of the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey development program and a team parade. The chief guest, Ashish Kundra, Chief Secretary of Ladakh, emphasized the importance of structured winter sports initiatives in uniting communities and providing opportunities for youth. The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of Season 3 trophies and the ceremonial puck drop to mark the start of the competition.
In the women’s fixture, Sham Eagles triumphed over Changla Lamos with a commanding 7–2 victory, highlighted by a strong performance from captain Semzes Dolma. Defending champions Kangs Sing started their title defense with a convincing 6–3 win against Changthang Shans, showcasing their prowess once again. The day concluded with Zanskar Chadar Tamers dominating Changla Blasters with a 6–1 victory, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
