In a move to enhance innovation cooperation between India and France, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and La Fondation Dassault Systèmes have introduced the India–France Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) Bridge. This initiative establishes the first School Innovation Lab in France, inspired by India’s ATL framework, to facilitate collaboration among young innovators in both nations. It aims to create a structured platform for young learners to work together, strengthen connections between innovation ecosystems, and deepen bilateral innovation cooperation.
The India–France ATL Bridge will function as a strategic platform for promoting cross-border innovation programs, entrepreneurial exchanges, and enhanced collaboration between the innovation ecosystems of both countries. This initiative is part of the India–France Year of Innovation 2026, showcasing the joint dedication of both countries to bolster innovation-led cooperation and nurture talent for the future.
During the launch of the India–France ATL Bridge, Deepak Bagla, Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, highlighted the growing global confidence in India’s innovation journey. He emphasized India’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Marie-Pierre Aulas, Managing Director of La Fondation Dassault Systèmes, emphasized the importance of education in shaping a sustainable future. She stressed the need to inspire young individuals to engage with science and technology through experiential learning. The Atal Innovation Labs play a crucial role in nurturing creativity, experimentation, and entrepreneurial skills from a young age, fostering an innovation mindset and promoting international collaboration between India and France.
