India and Indonesia signed multiple agreements on maritime, defense cooperation, and digital infrastructure to boost their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasized enhancing defense and maritime collaboration, including cooperation on the BrahMos Missile System and Air-to-Air Missile Cooperation Agreement. The leaders highlighted the importance of maritime domain awareness, coastal surveillance, and disaster relief efforts for regional peace and stability.
Both countries agreed to expand defense industry collaboration for joint equipment production, technology transfer, and capacity building. They also welcomed progress in pharmaceutical cooperation between their Armed Forces Medical Establishments. India and Indonesia recognized the economic synergies between their development visions and aimed to enhance bilateral trade through agreements like the ASEAN India Trade in Goods Agreement review. The leaders stressed the need for deeper economic integration and cooperation in critical minerals and rare earths to strengthen supply chains.
India and Indonesia welcomed the signing of agreements in the field of Minerals and Technology of Steel Supply Chain and the Implementation Arrangement on Professional Health Workforce Development. They also emphasized the importance of enhancing maritime and air connectivity, with a focus on developing the Sabang Port. The launch of the Indonesia Open Network (ION) and the implementation of the Cross-Border QR Payment Linkage were seen as steps to boost digital commerce and financial integration between the two nations.
