Humanitarian aid from India was delivered to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine by the Charge D’affaires of the Indian Embassy in Ukraine. The aid included medicines for viral Hepatitis C treatment and was handed over at the Embassy premises. India has been consistently sending humanitarian aid to Ukraine, with previous consignments including diagnostic medical equipment.

In a recent gesture of support, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented BHISHM Cubes to the Government of Ukraine in August 2024. These Cubes contain medicines, equipment for emergency care, and surgical tools for basic operations. President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed gratitude for the aid, emphasizing its role in providing swift treatment and saving lives.

The BHISHM Cube is equipped to handle a variety of medical situations, including trauma, bleeding, burns, and fractures. It can conduct basic surgeries and generate power and oxygen in limited quantities. Additionally, a team of Indian experts has been dispatched to provide training on operating the Cube to the Ukrainian healthcare personnel.

This act of providing humanitarian aid reaffirms India’s ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine during times of need.
