Amid increasing diplomatic and economic interactions between India and the US, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar recently met with United States Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau during the Raisina Dialogue 2026 in New Delhi. Landau’s visit aimed to strengthen ties in defense, critical minerals, and counternarcotics, while also focusing on enhancing commercial and economic relations between the two nations.
The discussions between India and the US also centered on expanding market access for American businesses and promoting a shared vision for a free, open, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. The Raisina Dialogue, a significant conference on geopolitics and geo-economics in India, facilitated dialogues among global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts on key international issues.
